SEARCH ENGINES

There are several search engines aviable which can help you greatly with your research or simple questions. 




Firstly, there exists the worldwide known Google, which is the most-used search engine on the internet, and it receives several hundred million questions each day through its various services. The main purpose of Google Search is to hunt for text in Web pages. Apart from this, ggogle can also serve a a dictionary, thesaurus, it can give you the weather forecast, stock market and many more features.


Another search engine is Yahoo, which ranks second in place after Google, which has more than 85% of use. Yahoo! Search does basically the same things as Google; it has several uses, which include e-mail, news or weather forecast. It also includes tricks and shortcuts to get better and faster results.

Another search engine is Bing, which is a microsoft creation. It includes advantages such as the listing of search suggestions as queries are entered and a list of related searches. Now, Bing powers Yahoo! Search .

Software for University

I have decided that in university, the device that I will use the most is the laptop. Since the laptop I am using is a Mac, the best software for it would be iWork. 






iWork is an office suite of desktop applications created by Apple. It contains Keynote, a presentation program (similar to Microsoft Power Point), Pages, a word processing program (similar to Microsoft Word) and Numbers, a spreadsheet program (similar to Microsoft Excel). Furthermore, all of iWork's programs allow the user to interact with other applications, such as iPhoto or iTunes, and drag pictures or music directly onto the document.

       

Although iWork is quite expensive comparing to "OpenOffice", the quality of the presentations you can create with it is outstanding. Furthermore, it is compatible with any format, and it has awesome templates and themes to make your document, presentation or spreadsheet look totally professional.
